MOVIE OPTIONS on which to vote:
1. "And So It Goes" starring Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton. There are a million reasons not to like realtor Oren Little, and that's just the way he likes it. Willfully obnoxious to anyone who might cross his path, he wants nothing more than to sell one last house and retire in peace and quiet -- until his estranged son suddenly drops off a granddaughter he never knew existed and turns his life upside-down. Clueless about how to care for a sweet, abandoned nine-year-old, he pawns her off on his determined and lovable neighbor Leah (Diane Keaton) and tries to resume his life uninterrupted. But little by little, Oren stubbornly learns to open his heart - to his family, to Leah, and to life itself.
2. "Nonnas" A 2025 comedy-drama film (starring Vince Vaughn, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Brenda Vaccaro with Linda Cardellini and Susan Sarandon) is based on the life of Joe Scaravella, the owner of Staten Island restaurant Enoteca Maria, where grandmothers (nonnas) are invited to work as chefs. During the credits, scenes from the real-life Enoteca Maria are shown, noting that the restaurant has been open for 15 years and is now staffed by nonnas from all over the world.
3. "Breakthrough" - The cast includes: Chrissy Metz, Josh Lucas, and Topher Grace is a 2019 true story, faith-based drama, of a mother’s unwavering faith as her son breaks through ice, survives extremely cold water, near-fatal accident, and is saved by God.
4. "A Man Named Otto" starring Tom Hanks -His character growth throughout the movie kept me completely hooked. Even though you can sense where the story is going regarding Otto's transformation, the film doesn't rush it. The pacing allows you to connect with Otto, and you feel invested in his journey by the end. You'll feel uplifted and reminded of how powerful character-driven stories can be. The film shows how even the hardest hearts can soften with time and the right peopleNOTE: If you have an alternate prefered movie, "Reply All" to let us all know .
